Item description

Antique Napoleon III French mahogany feather desk with finely chiselled gilt bronze appliqué. The top has a leather covering chiselled with 24kt gold. The front elevation features five drawers embellished with gilded bronze vents. The four cantons are embellished with bronze mouldings with gilded bronze floral motifs inside. The four obelisk feet end in finely chiselled gilded bronze socks. The opposite face is mirrored on the main one. Restored by our master craftsmen using the traditional handmade shellac and alcohol method. Origin France 19th century. Measurements: 140x80 cm, H 80 cm. Certificate of Authenticity.
