Floor-to-ceiling bookcase with decorated bar compartment, 1960s
Floor-to-ceiling bookcase, 1950s-60s. It perfectly combines functionality and timeless elegance. Thanks to its impressive size, this piece of furniture will not only elegantly fill a large part of the wall but will also optically enlarge the room and add a sculpture-like shape. Featuring a comprehensive design, the piece incorporates walnut veneer cabinets, shelf and chest of drawers, offering ample storage and display options. All cabinets are lockable, ensuring the safety of your belongings. A front-opening bar compartment is decorated with an eye-catching vintage print of an Italian port city; this artistic detail definitely serves as an eye-catching focal point of the piece. The beautiful brass details on the posts and the leaf-shaped brass handles add elegance and create a perfectly harmonized look. Versatility is key in this bookcase: the shelves and cabinets, mounted on black painted metal tracks, are adjustable, allowing for easy customization based on your preferences and needs; they can be moved lower, higher or swapped, offering flexibility for various arrangements. The bookcase is pressure mounted between floor and ceiling, with a base height of 271 cm. We also offer additional 40 cm uprights/extensions. These were used during the photo shoot, resulting in a cabinet height of 315 cm in the photos. The metal uprights feature adjustable brass feet on both sides, ensuring stability on uneven floors and allowing for an overall height adjustment of approximately 4 cm (screwing or unscrewing as needed). Our team has checked the bookcase and it is still in excellent original vintage condition. We made sure that all mechanisms work smoothly. The metal and brass elements have been polished. The wooden parts have been cleaned and rejuvenated with professional products. Although it shows some signs of use on the shelves and a small crack on the lock of the bar cabinet, these are small imperfections consistent with its age. We chose to leave them in because they contribute to the long history of the piece and do not detract from its overall aesthetic. The largest cabinet with doors is 59 cm high, 79 cm wide and 38 cm deep. The cabinet with five drawers is 59 cm high, 79 cm wide and 38 cm deep; internal height of the drawers: 9 cm. The bar cabinet is 44 cm high, 79 cm wide and 37 cm deep; fully open depth: 76 cm. The smallest cabinet with doors is 44 cm high, 79 cm wide and 38 cm deep. The ten shelves are 79 cm wide and 25.5 cm deep. The four uprights are 271 cm long (by adding the 40 cm extensions they are adjustable up to 315 cm).
