Neapolitan Louis XIV walnut-root dresser with inlays, 18th century
Small Louis XIV Neapolitan walnut-root dresser with fine exotic wood inlay inserts, 18th century. The front features three convex drawers set off by beautiful herringbone woodwork set within a pink wood border. The sides bear the same layout as the front with a rhombus in the center, again in fine exotic woods. The two cabriolet feet are connected by a mixtilinear base and rest on the ground via a hemisphere. The inside and back are made of poplar wood typical of the Neapolitan cabinet-making tradition. Restored by traditional handmade shellac and alcohol method. Complete with certificate of authenticity. We are at your disposal for further clarification or photographic details.
