60s glasses service of Thorpe inc.
Refined blown glass table service characterized by a large band on the upper edge in sterling silver.
Produced by the American company Dorothy Thorpe, Inc.
The company founded by the designer Dorothy Thorpe who because of the great post-war depression and thanks its ingenuity decreased glass objects with over 2000 different designs.
In 1953 he decided to retire and in 1955 he sold his company that continued the production of glasses and complements.
After its abandonment, the company created different models such as the Allegro series also called Silver Band or Old Gold.
These elegant glasses have become famous thanks to the Mad Men series.
The service is for six people for a total of 30 pieces, it is in excellent conservative condition and it is composed as follows:

6 average glasses;
6 wide glasses;
6 round glasses;
6 drink glasses.
