Rare mid-century garden set consisting of two iron rod armchairs and a matching coffee table with a glass top. The seats feature the characteristic drum-shaped basket with a circular profile and a conical base stiffened by a perimeter ring; the table follows the same structural design. Vintage white paint and original cushions (one orange, one green) that add a pop note. European product, likely French (years ’50–’60), belonging to the “hoop/wire chairs” family very popular in the post-war period for its lightness, resistance to the outside and graphic design. Ideal for patios, verandas, or winter gardens; also perfect for contemporary interiors. Good condition with normal signs of age on the paint; coffee table glass in order. The round profile “hoop chair” was born in the ’50s and is produced in Europe and the USA. In France, since the ’50s, iron garden chairs with chopsticks have been widespread, generically attributed as “French wire garden” (sometimes “style of Matégot/Royère” in language, not as direct authorship).
