Item description

Antique oil painting on canvas dating back to the 40s/50s of the 19th century. The canvas is by Claude Guilleminet (1821 - 1866) a French realist painter known for his depictions of rural life. The artist's signature is partially visible at the bottom left of the painting. The canvas is unfortunately damaged, it shows all the signs of aging but is still completely salvageable, it needs restoration as can be seen from the photos.
