Mid-Century rosewood bookcase, by Vittorio Dassi, Italy, 1950s 12

Item description

Fantastic Italian wall-mounted bookcase designed by Vittorio Dassi in the 1950s. It's a very rare piece representing one of the Mid-Century Modern masterpiece of the Italian design. The structure is in veneered rosewood, supported by uprights with the form of long lances in ebony stained wood. The top consists of shelves and an encased storage section with drawers on the right side, a cabinet with door decorated externally and glass shelves inside on the left side. The lower section is a unique piece composed by a long floating sideboard, supported by metal legs, hosting drawers and many cabinets with doors, partly in rosewood and ebonised channeling on left and right end doors, all equipped with their original brass keys. It's in very good conditions of the period, with minor signs of wear consistent with age and gentle use, completely original and with no structural damages. It's ready to use. We can manage the shipping over the world, packing the item with a customized wooden crate. This bookcase will be shipped from Italy.
