A striking pair of French "Lampe Dentelles" table lamps circa 1970s. Manufactured by Marie-Stuart of Saint-Brieuc, France. The lamp is executed in the refined sculptural style associated with French designers such as Georgia Jacob. Formed from lace fabric encapsulated in translucent resin and sculpted into a dramatic folded organic form . The lamps are raised on solid hexagonal shaped marble bases, one lamp is finished in warm amber tones and the other in blue-grey. Beautifully sculptural when unlit, they softly diffuse light while revealing the intricate lace texture beneath. In very good condition with some signs consistent with age. Professionally rewired and presented in excellent vintage condition. They each use e14 light bulbs.
