Charming mantel clock in the Historicist style dating back to the second half of the 19th century (circa 1870). The richly crafted and gilded metal frame is topped by a splendid and detailed sculptural figure depicting a knight on horseback in 17th-18th century costume. The dial is an elegant black with gilded Roman numerals and is protected by a glass cover. CONDITION NOTE (TRANSPARENCY): The item has a splendid antique patina with minor signs of age on the back. The dial glass has a surface grain/crack (stable, not missing), and the back of the mechanism compartment lacks a protective cover.
