Extremely rare and monumental mantel clock in the Eclectic style from the late 19th century (circa 1880/1890). The magnificent structure, crafted entirely of finely gilded metal and richly decorated with neoclassical friezes, features a splendid square shape. The striking lateral sculpture, inspired by classical statuary, depicts a figure raising a torch with his right arm. The white enamel main dial features Roman numerals and a rare subdial for the small seconds. On the back, the fully accessible control compartment displays a sophisticated patented mechanism with the French inscription "Reveil Perfectionne" and adjustment knobs with English export-approved inscriptions.
