Item description

"Book" is the favourite bookcase of architects and designers all over the world. It is a project born many years ago, but still capable of expressing a new and free way of composing a wall. It has elements of seduction, the right balance between aesthetics and functionality, a linearity, a ductility, that do not make the passage of time feel. "Book" is a modular system of closed containers and open-pore shelves and is a design gem conceived by Titti Fabiani for IFT (Ideal for Team) in the creative ferment of Milan in the late 1960s. The bookcase is composed of four side-by-side elements in blond walnut; three modules have four hinged doors in transparent glass and a fourth is divided in half between glass doors and open shelves. The structure is made of open-pore stained ash wood. The 'Book' elements are also equipped with an ash base. Its modularity allows the composition of the entire wall or in separate fractions and adapts to different spaces and needs. Dimensions of each individual module height 196 cm width 70 cm depth 37 cm
