Early 20th century Italian watercolour. Mixed technique drawing mounted on wooden frame depicting Seascape with young shepherds with an excellent painterly hand. Painting of great size and impact adorned with finely carved and gilded non-coeval frame (see photo). Frame showing some signs of time and missing three wooden decorations (see photo). Work signed lower right (see photo) referable to the painter Enrico Nardi (1864-1947) lacking authentication. Watercolour of fabulous delicacy, pleasant foreshortening with calm sea and reflection of the sun on the water in the background. Very well painted are the two children depicted in the foreground (see photo), she intent on playing the clarinet while the little shepherd boy is attentively lying at her side. Frame complete with protective glass. Picture in overall good condition. Frame structurally sound with a few minor flaws. Light painting H 74 X W 121 cm.
