Collection book of world stamps, early 20th century
Collection book of stamps of the 193 states of the world divided by each state, some are complete others to be completed. Started by my great-grandfather in the very early years of the 20th century. Album in fair condition, paper yellowed by time, some pages worn at edges. The book of stamps of the states of the world begins with a section devoted to the nations of Europe, such as France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Great Britain and Russia with a good representation of stamps issued during the period indicated. There are also some stamps from vanished European monarchies, such as Austria-Hungary and Tsarist Russia, which includes stamps issued from the 1860s to the 1950s. The collection is almost complete, only a few pieces are missing. After Europe there is a section dedicated to China, with stamps issued from 1840 onwards. This section is also almost complete, missing only a few rare and expensive pieces. Next are the countries of Asia, such as Japan and India. This section is incomplete, many stamps from these countries are missing. The book continues with stamps from Africa, from North Africa to Sub-Saharan Africa. Even here the collection is incomplete, as many stamps from this region are missing. Finally, there are the nations of the United States, Australia, South America, Central America and the Caribbean. Here too, the section is incomplete but includes some interesting stamps, such as those depicting the Cuban revolution and the Central American wars of independence. Overall, the book of stamps of the states of the world is an interesting and varied collection, offering a glimpse into the postal history of various nations during the 20th century. While some sections are complete, others need further additions to make the collection more comprehensive. The few photos present here are only a small part of the entire book.
