Oil painting on a wooden panel depicting an animated landscape with figures. The central part of the painting is dominated by a country path on which a figure of a woman with a basket and two children are walking. A little further on is a young fisherman on the shore of a small lake. Framing the country scene are large trees and a glimpse of a clear sky furrowed by some clouds. A work of excellent pictorial quality characterised by an evocative atmosphere typical of 'en plein air' painting as well as by the special warm light that permeates it. Gilded wooden frame. France, second half of the 19th century. The dimensions are as follows: 48 x 42 cm including frame, 29 x 23 cm the panel alone. A regular certificate of authenticity with photo is issued.
