This Prismar model table lamp, in the rarest larger size version, represents one of the most significant examples of radical Italian design of the seventies. The cubic mirrored glass structure, combined with the chrome-plated metal elements, generates a sophisticated interplay of reflections that amplifies the light and creates an evocative effect of infinite depth. Designed by Studio ARDITI and produced by Nucleo Sormani, the lamp is part of a design research project oriented towards light as a perceptual and architectural element. The object thus takes on a dual nature: functional and sculptural. This lamp is part of a set of three examples (two smaller and one large) visible in the last image. You can purchase the entire set; for more information, see the listing for the matching pair.
