Rare wind vane from the early 1900s made of copper, characterized by a three-dimensional composition with a subject depicting a port lighthouse. The scene is constructed with an essential but very decorative language: the lighthouse develops vertically in the center of the composition, while at the base and sides volumes appear that recall buildings or port structures, creating a whole with a strong maritime suggestion. The rendering of the subject gives the piece an almost sculptural presence, very different from traditional, more linear weather vanes. The directional tail and the compass rose with the cardinal letters complete the object, underlining its original function. The copper surface has a beautiful antique patina, with burnished shades and traces of green oxidation that accentuate its authentic charm. It is an object of notable personality, ideal for collectors of nautical antiques, folk art and decorative pieces with an architectural taste. Measurements: 54 x 54 x 60 cm.
