Item description

Tuscan mahogany panelled Empire chest of drawers, Italy first quarter 19th century. Three drawers on the front of which the first projecting, round column uprights with carved and gilded capitals, dark green lacquered shaft and pine cone feet with gilded leaf carving. Finely chiselled gilt bronze handles and spouts with floral motif and laurel wreath. Poplar interior. Top replaced.
