Murano glass and gold leaf plate by Alberto Donà, 1980s-90s. Like every object from Murano, this plate is a unique piece. Alberto Donà began working in glass at the age of 13. He collaborated with many masters and had the opportunity to travel abroad to Venezuela to work with glass. Since that time his art has become famous for its colors and especially its size. In 2001 he had a solo exhibition at the Vassel Art Gallery in London and was selected to furnish lighting for the Hiroshima Memorial Museum.
