Oil on cardboard. Signed N. Gyula Gutaljazy lower right. The scene depicts some peasant carts, loaded with hay, probably stopped at the entrance to a country fair, as can be deduced from the tents that appear in the background; the draft horses are being fed, while the women await the arrival of their companions, sitting on the carts. This is a recurring theme in the production of this Hungarian painter (1900 -?) of whom there is no biographical information. The painting is presented in a period frame.
