Item description

Gorgeous set of 4 "Monk" chairs designed by Afra and Tobia Scarpa for Molteni in 1973. In the project for the Monk chairs, Afra and Tobia Scarpa pay maximum attention to the expressive qualities of the materials, studying congenial shapes and finishes to communicate them. Seat and back are in original black molten leather, in excellent condition, shoed on two steel tubular according to a shape that makes the seat very comfortable. The solid wooden legs of national walnuts are connected to two by two pervert and evidently show the fixing of the crossbar. The general conditions are excellent with some tiny sign of the time on the leather, which give originality to the set.
