A set of two freestanding teak 'Variett' bookcases, designed by Bertil Fridhagen for Bodafors in the 1950s Sweden. It is a remarkable example of mid-century Scandinavian joinery, combined with elegance and functionalism. Both bookcases have a black painted wooden frame with decorative brass screws and details, giving a unique impression. Each unit consists of adjustable components, described in detail below, that allow you to arrange it according to your needs, and a cabinet with sliding doors, which provides enough space for storing books and decorations. All can be freely exchanged. The wall units fit both together and separately as functional furniture, even in two separate rooms. The first unit consists of: 2 shelves 24 cm deep; 1 shelf with two small drawers (height of the drawers 5.5 cm); cabinet with sliding doors and an internal shelf; H: 50 / W: 80 / D: 40cm. The second piece of furniture is made up of: 4 shelves 24 cm deep; cabinet with sliding doors and an internal shelf; H: 50 / W: 80 / D: 40cm. Overall, fantastic original vintage condition with minor traces of use and a clean interior.
