Swedish-style round table, 1960s. A distinctive feature of 1960s Scandinavian-style furniture is the use of an imported exotic wood, teak, with which tables and bookcases are veneered. The table structure consists of four spokes with support feet resting on the ground supporting a single round-section steel upright painted black. The top, round in shape (diameter: 110 cm), is teak veneered and rests on the four spokes connected to the central upright. The top has defects in the edging and small lifts in the teak veneer; wood restoration work would restore this table to its original state.
