Item description

Set of four oil-painted wooden panels with pastoral scenes, 19th century. Pastoral scenes on a light green monochrome background with couples, children, individual peasants pictured during moments of rest and conversation, in the guise of 18th-century models. These are probably wooden panels of furniture doors; the paintings were mounted more recently on wooden frames. They show several color lacks and stains, especially at the background.
