Scandinavian two-bay teak bookcase, 1970s
Scandinavian two-bay teak bookcase, 1970s. Visually appealing and extremely functional, this piece was most likely designed and manufactured in Norway. Made of warm-toned teak wood, it features a beautiful wood grain pattern. The use of high quality teak wood ensures the durability and longevity of the piece. Teak veneer laid differently on the cabinet fronts adds an interesting and more diverse touch. The minimalist vertical wooden supports and three long shelves create a perfect contrast with the "heavy" bottom, providing visual balance. The exclusive shelf mounting system, hidden inside the wooden structure, makes the connection points of the components completely invisible. Spaciousness and minimalism are the hallmarks of this piece. The combination of open shelves and impressive lower cabinet divided into two independent parts offers a versatile mix of display and storage options. Furthermore, the bookcase design allows you to adjust the height of the shelves according to different needs. All these features make the piece an ideal storage solution for living rooms or offices where both aesthetics and organization are crucial. The cabinet is 50 cm high, 180 cm wide and 40 cm deep; drawer height: 2 cm. The three shelves are 180 cm wide and 30 cm deep. The three uprights are 220 cm long. The piece remains in excellent original condition with minimal signs of use consistent with its age. The original shelves were damaged so we replaced them with new ones made by professional carpenters. After this restoration, the bookcase regained full functionality while maintaining a consistent appearance. All components fit together perfectly and the wood has been cleaned and protected with professional compounds to enhance the natural beauty of the wood grain.
