Item description
Restoration-style round table with greyhound sculptures, Sicily early 20th century. Table top in green Alpi marble supported by uprights depicting a triptych of greyhounds in carved and gilded wood, seated in a waiting position and with a leafy capital on their heads. Beautiful is the sinuous movement of the tails, which join in the central section. Finally, the dogs rest on a shaped green lacquered base with a gilded profile. This table takes its inspiration from a series of early 19th century Sicilian furniture, which used this specific greyhound model.
