Baroque noble coat of arms in painted wood, late 17th century
Large coat of arms placed within a symmetrically arranged scroll, made of polychromatically painted and partially gilded wood. The frame is adorned with scrolls and festoons of fruit, while a ribbon with the Latin motto ‘INTVS EST CANDIDUS RECTA LIBERALITATE ROBV(R) PRUDENTIAE’ (‘A righteous liberality is clearer than strength or prudence’) unfolds in the upper part. The shield, supported by a pair of cherubs and adorned in the lower part with a grotesque mask, is surmounted by a crown and three ruffles, in the upper part in the centre it has a cherub's head; it is quartered, in the first and third of azure with gold cuneate, chief of Anjou, in the second and third of gules bordered with gold balls, azure band bordered with gold, chief of Anjou. In the centre is another coat of arms bordered azure and gold with azure band, chief of Medici.
