Item description

French Napoleon III sideboard in thuja burl with peach blossom marble top. The front is characterised by three doors, the central one of which is highlighted by a Wedgwood plaque that protrudes more than the others. A finely chiselled gilt bronze trim separates the heart of the thuja burl from the wood, which is placed at an angle and is synonymous with high quality cabinet making. Provenance: France (1860/70). General condition: Restored by our master craftsmen using the traditional method (shellac and hand-made alcohol). Document: Certificate of authenticity.
