Item description

Genoese school large 18th-century Italian landscape. Oil painting on canvas depicting a splendid landscape with figures. Painting of excellent pictorial quality, found particularly in the realization of the figures, animals and numerous naturalistic details. Painting that offers a remarkable depth of field thanks to a masterful use of the technique of aerial perspective and repoussoir; in fact, we find a large tree in the foreground on the left, an obstacle to vision that relaunches and guides the gaze in depth toward the visual focus of the painting. Painting showing a wooden rod, with some signs of time. Work that already have been restretched and restored with frame replacement and color restoration in small spots. Overall in excellent state of preservation. Measurements without frame: 124 x 179 cm.
