Oil painting on canvas by Mino Maccari (1898-1989) depicting female figures, 20th century. Signed at lower left. Maccari's artistic production is mainly aimed at social and political satire, expressed mainly through drawing; moreover, he never positioned himself as a judge of Italian customs but rather as an amusing, and amused, chronicler of society's vices and weaknesses. In his pictorial production, while not deviating excessively from the themes of his drawings, he accentuates the fantastic aspect more: with quick, decisive brushstrokes and bright, often violent colors, he characterizes almost unreal or rather caricatured figures. The work is presented in a frame. Size without frame: 40 x 60 cm.
